Vision & Mission Statement
• AFB will Build, Operate and Manage Integrated Aquaculture RAS farms delivering sustainable solutions throughput Sub-Sahara Africa over the next decade and beyond farming hundreds of thousands of tons of fish.
• AFB will help transform the African continent over the coming decades into the Food Basket of the world, replacing Asia which currently supplies 80% of the world's aquaculture production.
• AFB projects are aligned with African Government and UN policies to expand the aquaculture production on the continent, working hand-in-hand with NEPAD, key-decision makers, politicians, governments and international organizations, all in an endeavor to combat poverty, create sustainable farming with job security and skills transfer.
• AFB's Governance and Social Program means that local communities become stake holders in the farms, resulting in direct involvement and ownership by local community.
• Each project harvests strong returns without loosing sight of sustainable investment.
• Each AFB player, including Connexion Africa Consortium, Aquaculture Insight, Cool Technology and Kirschauer Aquakulturen GmbH is committed and driven to making AFB a dominant force and industry leader. Its management team includes experienced and successful businessmen with a combined work experience of doing business in Africa over the past 25 years.
